FWS Friday #1: 77 founders, coworking and drinks
Hey,
This is the first FWS Friday. One short email every Friday with what founders in the group are shipping, what's coming up, and where someone needs a hand. 2 minute read.
77 founders in two weeks
Two weeks ago Founders Who Ship was an idea and a WhatsApp group. There's now 77 of us, all founders actually building and shipping with AI here in the UAE. Honestly didn't expect it to move this fast.
Welcome to this week's new members
- Mathew, Maxo.ai: AI products for consumers and businesses
- Arjun, Edgaze: publish and run AI workflows
- Marta, CysuiteONE: cybersecurity for startups and SMEs
- Henry, EngageX: turns live events into leads and deals
- Adham, FALAK SimLab: fly real rocket missions in a 3D flight sim
- Daniyal, Facia: deepfake and liveness detection
- Mohamed: govtech benchmarking for government entities
- Neel, Climaty AI: one place for marketers instead of dozens of platforms
Shipped
- reshootit.com pushed new features and is close to 20 users
- underlayerhq.com is out in the market and looking for early customers
Shipped something this week? Reply to this email with a link and a line on what it does and you'll be in next Friday's.
What's on
- Coworking, every Thursday, 10am-4pm, 6.8 Cafe, Al Quoz. We had our first one this week and it was a great day. Come for an hour or the whole day. founderswhoship.com/events/coworking
- Networking drinks, Thu 15 Oct, 6-8pm, Reform Social & Grill, The Lakes. First proper FWS social, voted for by the group. Drinks and food on us, 15 spots, members only. founderswhoship.com/events/members-night
- Dubai AI Festival, Mon 26 Oct, DWTC. We're going as a group on day 1. founderswhoship.com/events/fws-at-dubai-ai-festival
One ask
Building is the easy part, distribution is the hard bit. A few founders in the group are stuck on getting their first users. If you've cracked a channel that actually works (Reddit, TikTok, partnerships, anything), share it in the WhatsApp group, it'll help more people than you think.
